[27.Jul.2007 - 15:25]ANP, PkMAP announce new alliance ( Pakhtunkhwa National Democratic Alliance) 27.07.2007 Pashtoonkhwa: Two major Pukhtoon nationalist parties of Pakistan Oppressed Nations Movement (PONM), Awami National Party (ANP) and Pukhtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) on Wednesday announced formation of Pukhtoonkhwa National Democratic Alliance with Senator Asfandyar Wali its chairman. Leaders of both the parties told a news briefing here at the Parliament Lodges that it was not a merger of the parties. They said that a committee with representation of five senior members each from both sides would frame manifesto of the alliance. They demanded establishment of “Pukhtoonkhwa” province comprising Pushtoon majority parts of Balochistan and North West Frontier Province (NWFP) with Pushto as its official language.
