Karach 25.01.2008 : Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh General Secretary, Mohammed Amin Khattak expressed concerns over the prevailing political situation in the country and said that hidden hands want to create uncertainty by terrorising the democratic forces in the country. He was speaking at a meeting to condemn the murder of grandsons of ANP leader and former federal minister Mohammed Afzal Khan alias Khan Lala on Thursday. He said that earlier Mohammed Afzal Khan was attacked, then the ANP Swat Vice President was killed and now the two young activists have been murdered brutally by these elements. Prior to this the ANP leader inaugurated the office of the party candidate for PS-125, Saeed Ahmed Khan. Khattak said that the people who are patronising terrorists will also be affected by the fire they are fuelling. He appealed to the democratic forces that instead of compromising over this situation they should take unite against these undemocratic forces and expose them, as these elements are trying to make the majority people of the country hostage through these tactics. He explained that a few people are trying to rule over the majority at gun point by giving a free hand to miscreants and extremists by targeting peace loving people. Younus Boneri said being law-abiding citizens they would not take law in their hands at any cost. Farooq Boneri, Sadiq Khattak and Shakoor Khattak also spoke on the occasion and several activists announced to join the ANP.
