Protest rally against merit violation

Hundreds of activists of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party took out a protest rally against violation of merit in recruitments under Aghaz-e-Haqooq Balochistan Package.
Ex-Senator Raza Muhammad Raza led the rally. The rally started from Pashtoonkhwa office and turned into a public meeting at Markazi chowk. The protesters marched on various roads of the city and chanted slogans against violation of merit.
Addressing on the occasion Raza Muhammad Raza, Abdul Qayum advocate, Aziz Lala advocate, Mirwias Khan and Amanullah criticized the provincial government for manipulating the jobs under the Package and said that blue eyed people were being given preference in the jobs. The speakers further said that it was declared by the Federal Government to provide jobs to the jobless youth of Balochistan. But instead of adopting a fair formula of distribution of posts among Pashtoon and Baloch on equality basis. But it was not done and the same were distributed on the outdated district quota basis and contrary to the merit norms.
They demanded of the government to re-advertise the jobs and recruit the eligible youth, cancelling all the appointments made so for.
They condemned the killing of Provincial Minister for Information Iftikhar Hussain’s son and the target killings of Pashtoons in Karachi in strongest words and demanded of the government to arrest the culprits involved in the incidents of target killings and exemplary punishments should be give to those involved in the incidents.
