[03.May.2011 - 10:03]ENGLISH TEXT OF THE DECLARATION OF WORLD PUKHTO PEACE CONFEENCE APPROVEDON 30TH APRIL 2011 AT NISHTAR HALL, PESHAWAR
This peace jirga of the Pakhtuns from the worldwide consider the present war as part of a pre-planned old heinous conspiracy against the pakhtuns divided between Afghanistan and Pakistan and the Russians or Americans interventions are two effective parts of this aggression. In this regard, this jirga points out that the destruction of schools in Pakhtunkhwa had not just started today, but it actually started from the destruction of Mirkaz-e-Alia-Sardaryols of great pakhtuns leader Bacha Khan and first unprecedented beatings, atrocities, imprisonments and injustices against the Khudai Khidmatgars and their massacre in Baberha, the air and ground attacks agaisnt Faqir of Epi or the shrine of freedom fighter Haji Sahib Torangzai are a few examples of it. However, the present all out aggression is so destructive that it seems to be targeted against the very root of pakhtun nation.
In this regard, the 2nd important fact pointed out is that despite the whole world knew that neither any Afghan or pakhtun was involved in the execution, planning, conspiracy, abetment or financing of the 9/11 attacks on USA but even then the massacre of the pakhtuns has been started on this pretext. This Pakhtu World Peace Conference asks for action agaisnt those responsible for it, and demand a commission of inquiry into it and calls for an immediate ceasefire from all sides. This peace jirga condemn these atrocities against all the pakhtuns, and points out that these atrocities are very much within the definition of crimes against humanity, as defined in the international humanitarian law and relevant conventions. This peace jirga ardently appeal to the international community to take immediate and practical steps for an instant halt to these atrocities against the hapless pakhtun nation.
II- This world Pakhtu Peace Conference, in these horrible and difficult conditions express satisfaction over the fact that the pakhtun poets, writers, researchers and intellectuals do a great deal of work for the protection, preservation and restoration of peace in their homeland, which must be appreciated. However, it is regretted that neither the pakhtuns can properly avail of those creativity, nor there exists any coherence among them to make an effective call for attracting the attention of the world community to the plight of their nation. The host of the jirga, the World Pakhto Congress assures all the Afghans and Pakhtuns unfortunately scattered through out the world that they will continue to establish coherence among the Pakhtuns and Afghans in general and their poets, writers, artists, intellectuals and researchers in particular, at all costs.
Along with it, this Peace Conference demand of both the authorities in Pakistan and Afghanistan to support and make arrangements for availing maximum benefit of the afghans and Pakhtuns from the works of the Pakhtuns writers, poets, artists, intellectual and researchers scattered all around the world. This jirga therefore demand the establishment of such interrelated centers in Peshawar, Shalkot (Quetta), Qandahar and Kabul which will establish communication links among the Pakhtun writers, poets, artists, intellectuals and researchers and provide opportunities of maximum benefits to the Afghans – Pakhtuns.
III- This peace jirga welcome and support the recent understanding and confidence building measures between Pakistan and Afghanistan and the establishment of different commissions and hope that both the countries will continue effort for the establishment of a lasting peace in their countries which will benefit not only the people of both these countries but all the nations of the world.
