Invitation to Participation at the Regional Open Source Conference – Central Asia

It is our great pleasure to invite you to our 1st Regional Open Source Conference 2011 (ROSCCA 2011) taking place on October 15 – 18, 2011 in Kabul, Afghanistan. ROSCCA is the leading forum of Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) technologies in Central Asia. Held every year at one of the Central Asian cities, it brings together the most influential business leaders, academics, researchers, experts, policymakers, and government officials to discuss the current state and future of FOSS technologies in the region. About 500 delegates and speakers from over 15 countries are coming together at ROSCCA 2011 to discuss today’s most pressing technology issues at national, regional and international levels. The Regional Forum is led by the prominent professionals from the global ICT community to discuss, debate and consider technology solutions and policy proposals for the future of FOSS in Central Asia. By participating in this event, you will return home with many new insights, knowledge and experience that you can apply to enhance your works, foster your businesses, and develop your economies. The Conference showcases innovative Open Source tools, applications and technologies that once adopted will transform your daily business operation. ROSCCA 2011 is organized by Open Source Afghanistan (OSA) and National ICT Alliance of Afghanistan (NICTAA) in partnership with and support of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and United Nation’s Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Afghanistan. Among its outcomes are well-informed individuals and institutions on FOSS technologies and their benefits for socio-economic development programs; highly skilled young professional on variety of Open Source platforms; network of FOSS users and professionals, individuals and institutions, in Afghanistan; and regional alliance of FOSS in Central Asia. ROSCCA 2011 Registration We are pleased to offer the conference delegates an opportunity to participate free of charge. Delegates can obtain a ROSCCA 2011 ticket by filling in our delegate registration form. We encourage all of you to register now.
