Sangeen Wali Khan Laid To Rest in Wali Bagh
[27.Jun.2008 - 15:15]Wali Bagh: Sangeen Wali Khan was laid to rest near his father Khan Abdul Wali’s grave in Wali Bagh, District Charsadda on Thursday evening amid touching scenes.
The funeral prayer was attended by thousands of local people besides delegations from all parts of the province. His mother Begum Nasim Wali, elder brother Asfanydar Wali Khan and cousin Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan and other family members accompanied the coffin till the graveyard.
Sangeen Wali Khan was suffering from Throat Cancer and was admitted in Shaukat Khanam Cancer Hospital Lahore for last couple of days, and he was fallen in comma on Tuesday where he lost his breath on Thursday.
It is to be said here that he was born in 1959 at Wali Bagh. He obtained his early education from University Public School, Peshawar and later on he passed his intermediate from Atichiasian from Lahore and got his graduation from Peshawar University. He was married in 1981 and his soul met to Allah on 25th June, 2008.
Among his descendent, he left a widow, one son, Lawangeen,Khan and two daughters Mehar and Maryam. His personality revealed that Sangeen Wali Khan was a lover of down trodden, very meak tender hearted and a good friend. He was passionate and sober in politics. He always preached passion and was determined political leader. He was very found of flower and gardening. He breaded dogs of high bread. He was very resolucite in friendship.
Zahid added from Media Cell that President Pervez Musharaf, Afghan President Hamid Karzi and his cabinet, PPP Chairman Asif ali Zardary,Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Yousaf Raza Gailani,Chairman Cenate Mr. Mia Mohammad Somoro, Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fahmeda Mirza,Raza Rabanni, Federal Ministers; Chauderi Ahmad Mukhtar, Sheri Rahman, Governer Sindh dr. Eshratulabaad,CM Sindh Said Qayam Ali Shah, Chief Minister Panjab Mia Shahbaz Sharif, Mian Nawaz Sharif,Altaf Hussain, Imran Khan, Chaudry Shujaat Hussain, Zafarullah Jamali, Pir Sabir Shah, Mehtab Abbasi, Ihsan Iqbal, Chaudry Nisar and Raja Zafarul Haq sent their condolence messages or made telephone calls to Asfandyar Wali Khan.
Those who visited Wali Bagh among others, Federal Ministers Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Najmuddin Khan, Afrasiab Khattak, Mahmoud Khan Achakzai, Ilyas Bilour, Haroon Bilour, Latief Afridi, Mohammad Afzal Khan Lala, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Rehman Malik, Governor Owais Ghani, Speaker Chagharmati, Rahim Dad Khan, Akram Durrani, Zafar Jagra, IG Malak Naveed, Commandant FC Zafarullah Kan were included.
On the secound day before Jumma Prayers, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, his son Sikandar Sherpao, Pir Sabir Shah, Zafar Iqbal Jagra and ex-Speaker Bakht Jehan Khan visited Wali Bagh to attend the prayer cermony. Mr. Mian Nawaz Sharief, leader of PML (N) and Sherry Rehman, Federal Minister of Information were scheduled to Wali Bagh late afternoon.
Most of the leaders of ANP were present at Wali Bagh on secound day. Asfandyar Wali KHan, Aimal Asfandyar, Lawangeen Khan, Mohammd Afzal Khan Lala, Mohammd Azam Khan Hoti, Hashim Babar Mathra and Tajuddin Khan were in those receiving the guests. Provincial Ministers were rushing between Peshawar and Charsadda in order to attend both the occasions; Assembly Session and Prayers cermony.
