Minutes of the meeting of Afghan Milli Jarga in Ireland 10./05/2009. A meeting of Afghan Milli Jarga in Ireland (AMJI) took place in Marian Hall Birr; Castle Street Birr on Sunday 10 may 2009. The meeting started with Registration, member ship and reception. AMJI is a charity organisation working for the welfare of all Afghans (Afghans from Afghanistan (Ler Afghans) and Afghans/ Pukhtoons from occupied Pukhtoonkhwa province of Pakistan (Ber Afghans) living in Island of Ireland on both sides of the border). Three new members i.e. Dr. Ifthikhar, Dr. Nisar Ali and Dr. Sultan Zeb Joined the Jarga membership. It was followed by election of th office bearers. The following office bearers of the organisation were elected unanimously. President Dr. Zaib Khan Asapzai Omagh, County Tyrone (Ber Afghan) Senior Vice President Abdus Satar Mangal, AryKoat County Galway (Ler Afghan) General Secretary Dr. Nasir Khan Khalil Mulingar County Mulingar (Ber Afghan) Additional Secretary Dawood Jan, Balladrin County Mayo (Ler Afghan) Vice President Niaz Mohammad Shinwari, Granard County Longford (Ler Afghan) Joint Secretary Jamal Nasir, Mountrath County Portloise (Ber Afghan) Spokesperson Mirajudin Asapzai, Golden County Tipperary (Ber Afghan) Chairperson Wali Khan Aspazai Birr, County Offaly (Ler Afghan) Vice Chairman Dr. Nisar Ali Sligo County Sligo (Ber Afghan) Treasurer Waheed Ullah Birr, County Offaly (Ber Afghan) Vice Treasurer Wajid Khan Shinwari Roscrae, County Tipperary (Ber Afghan) The most important issues discussed in the meeting was the current humanitarian catastrophe of hundreds kiiled, thousand injured and millions of internally displaced civilians (IDC) from Malakand Division (Swat, Dir, Bonier) of the occupied Pukhtoonkhwa due to Pakistani Military operation against the terrorists in the region. About a million civilians have been displaced in the last two to three days as a result of this operation and many more are expected to be displaced in the next few days. An Emergency Committee was set in the meetingt, who are responsible for collecting as maximum donation in Ireland in the next few days to be dispatched to the affected area to support and help the most vulnerable (poor women children and elderly) affected as a result of the operation. We appeal to any one in the Island of Ireland to help in this good cause and donate whatever one can afford to help the most deserving affected people in the world at this particular time. The following resolutions were passed at the meeting. 1. We remind the world particularly the west and US who spent trillions in the destruction of Afghanistan for more than 30 years from 1979 until 2001 and ask them that now is the time to spent trillions of Dollars in the construction and development of Afghanistan.. 2. We ask the world to help save and protect today, the Afghans/ Pukhtoons of occupied Pukhtoonkhwa from the same destruction that occurred to the independent Afghans of Afghanistan. 3. Although we accept and rather support the shillings and bombing of the hideouts of the terrorists by Pakistani Army in the occupied land of Pukhtoonkhwa we do not accept the shelling and bombing of civilian population in the villages and cities and w ask Pakistani Army to stop such shelling and bombing. 4. Although we accept the number of civilian casualties is small in the drone attacks in the occupied Pukhtoonkhwa by the US and the targeted killing of the terrorists is surgical, we do not accept even the killing of a single civilian. We ask and encourage the US to continue the targeted killing of terrorists, however we ask them to eliminate the killing of civilians in these attacks.. Offaly, Ireland, for raising funds for the internally displaced civilians, and injured in the Occupied Pukhtoonkhwa province (Swat, Dir and Buner) resulting from the Military operation by the Pakistani Army.
